About the entity:

Młodzieżowa Rada Dzielnicy Wawer (Youth Council of Wawer, District of Warsaw) is a supporting entity of the district's Council. MRDWawer's main tasks include, but are not limited to: empowering students in the local community, organising events targeted at young people, coordinating actions together with the District's council and mayor in order to make Wawer a better place to live.

The design:

The task of rebranding MRDWawer was a direct consequence of the District introducing its new visual identity. The idea was to create a brand that is reminiscent of the district's visuals (in colours and design style), yet distinct.

The focus was to abandon the idea of a playful and childish logo, and introduce an identity for the next chapter of MRDWawer, a more mature and causative local government entity. The abstract leaf mark is derived from the District's vast greenery and forests, Wawer being one of the most nature-oriented districts of the city of Warsaw.
